Verwood
Tennis Academy is run by the Verwood Community Tennis Club providing
tennis for our community
Verwood and Three Legged Cross have been associated with tennis for
many
years with a club operating from Potterne
Park. Over the past few years the Verwood Community Association has
run a tennis club on behalf of the community offering courts to members
and making tennis accessible to the wider community through a pay
and play scheme.
In May 2003 the interest in tennis started to grow due to excellent
work in local schools by the Lawn Tennis Association and a high
standard of local coaching. The time had come for a new tennis
club - One
run by it's members for it's members and open to all to join.
The aim : To provide a home for local tennis for many years to
come. The tennis club now has a thriving junior section and has
strong links to local schools. Our LTA trained coach Lisa Hayter works with all ages and abilities
to ensure all people who take part enjoy the fun and health benefits
tennis can bring. If you would like to join our club you would
be most welcome. Contact us via this web site or pop down to Potterene
Park Tennis Courts between 7pm and 9pm on any tuesday or Thursday
